STUDIO CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Descriptions will guide you to the class that best suits your needs. All classes teach to all levels of students unless otherwise stated. When in doubt, give us a call and we will be happy to help you choose the best class for you.
Not all classes are on schedule at all times. Private instruction also available for beginners, private groups and seasoned students who want instruction in more challenging poses.
In this class we will use a unique blend of safe movements, gentle stretches, breath work and meditation based on the ancient arts and practices of Hatha Yoga. These therapeutic Yoga techniques help alleviate physical pain, improve mobility, recuperation of the internal organs, the nervous system and consciousness. This gentle, breath centered class is good for everyone looking to counteract the effects of stress, soothe the mind and bring the focus inward. No prior experience necessary. All levels are welcome. This class provides an opportunity to “come home” to your body, breath, and soul. Taught as a vinyasa style class, postures and sequencing are designed to establish connection, integration, and grounding within; allowing for an optimal calming of the mind and energizing of the body. First timer? Intimidated by yoga? Not very flexible… yet? If you’ve never done yoga before, start at the “beginning.” Start where you are and ease into stretching, strengthening and uniting your body, mind and soul. This class introduces the yogi to the basic poses of yoga and breathing techniques using classical Patanjali teachings to improve mobility, energy and relaxation. Ease past your pain, stress and lack of flexibility one gentle movement at a time. Slower paced for beginners, those with limitations or lower fitness levels. Appropriate for pregnancy.

Kundalini Yoga & Meditation
Kundalini Yoga, known as the yoga of awareness, is a practice that incorporates mudra, kriya, breathing techniques, mantra, sound healing, relaxation and deep meditation. “The recipe of each class brings the practitioner to a balanced and harmonious state. The power of the practice helps each person, class by class, step by step, clear out accumulated stress, soothe the mind, and uncover the natural source of energy and light within.” Each week, we will explore the dynamic practice of Kundalini Yoga, with a focus on pranayama and mediation. We will begin each class by tuning in with a mantra, calming the mind with a breathing technique, awakening the body with a kriya & concluding with a long savasana and deep meditation. We will also hold authentic discussion and venture into creating a sacred home space and developing a personal meditation practice. No experience required, all levels are welcome. Yoga for Everyone
Increase and renew your energy by blending movement and breath. All movement and stretches are modified for the individual. Oriented to support and align the inner and outer body, release layers of stress and balance body and emotions. Main focuses are basic yoga poses, alignment, breath, centering, concentration, de-stressing, relaxation. Introduce your mind to your body. Coordinating breath with movement to strengthen and stretch the body standing, seated and lying. Hands-on modifications and props used to explore alignment, depth and range in poses. Introduction of breathing practices to focus the mind and deeply relax the body. Good for all levels, best for beginners who can move from floor to standing.

Are you looking for a yoga class to help heal your mind and body? Core Fit Yoga will help you increase flexibility, strengthen your core, improve balance and correct posture. Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga
This Half Primary Series class is perfect for all levels of Yoga practitioners. Connect with your body and mind while you learn traditional Ashtanga Yoga. Let your body flow with sequenced postures and synchronized breathing designed to bring strength, flexibility, and stillness of the mind. Ease into Yoga
Ease into the week with a bit of everything yogic to music and with some healthy authentic dialogue. We begin to center, stretch, & build some heat! Seated, reclining and standing poses sequenced to flow slowly and gracefully together to achieve gentle strength. No long holds. Balance poses, twists and simple inversions like legs up the wall and shoulder stands encouraged before ending in a 10 minute savasana, perhaps with some chanting , singing or ringing designed to clear the mind and leave the heaviness of life on the floor..... At least 6mos. of yoga recommended for this class and an intermediate fitness level. (Back to Top)
Singing is optional as we flow Vinyasa-style to vibrant rhythms, sweating off the week and strengthening our weekend energy! Designed to release your mind and let the spirit flow. Yoga for Kids
Designed for Kids age 6 and over. Introduce your children to yoga and watch them blossom. Yoga is a holistic approach to healthy living. Hatha Yoga helps with the union of mind-body-spirit through a balanced practice, knowledge and observance of the values of yoga leading to character building. The integration of these practices produce feelings of bliss, inner-peace, well-being, and self esteem. Additionally, children learn how to center and focus their mind and improve their body awareness and balance.

Are you looking for some one-on-one, personalized attention or want to focus on a particular part of your practice? Perhaps you’ve never taken a yoga class and prefer some guidance and knowledge of basics before diving into a group class setting. A private class allows you to concentrate specifically on your needs and allows you to go at your own pace with the careful attention from the teacher. Private Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and wellbeing through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga. (IAYT - International Association of Yoga Therapists)
Medical research shows that Yoga Therapy is among the most effective complementary therapies for a variety of ailments including back problems, hypertension, heart disease, asthma, diabetes, arthritis, autoimmune disease, anxiety, depression, stress syndrome, and other chronic conditions.
The yoga tradition views humans as a multidimensional system that includes all aspects of body; breath; and mind, intellect, and emotions and their mutual interaction. While the Yoga Therapy approach is holistic in nature, treatment is applied in one-on-one sessions and highly individualized depending on the needs of the client.
The elements that distinguish Yoga Therapy from other Yoga practices are:
- Focus on specific condition(s) with consideration for the individual’s circumstances and nature of the client.
- Assessment of the client’s specific therapeutic needs and concerns based on an initial, detailed intake session.
- Development of a Yoga Therapy intervention based on the assessment of the client during the intake session. Adjustments are made based on the client’s progress.
Using a variety of Yoga tools including postures, breathing techniques, meditation, visualization, and a disciplined life-style, the Yoga Therapy intervention and evolving practice will increase physical, mental and emotional self-awareness to help the client reduce symptoms and change the relationship to their condition and progress toward health and wellbeing. DONATION BASED CLASSES
Combining the different schools of yoga, we will move gently and purposefully through our practice as we learn to connect with our personal breathing pace. Using our props, we will adjust each exercise to fit our body’s needs for that moment. All levels welcome. This is a donation based class. Suggested donation is $15. iRest® Yoga Nidra
iRest® Yoga Nidra is a proven-effective meditation practice for deep relaxation that provides you with tools to help you relax deeply, release stress, increase resiliency, improve your interpersonal relationships and provide you with greater mastery and control in your life. It is suitable for all abilities. Meditation is approximately 30 minutes long with time left at the end for discussion or to ask questions. No prior experience necessary. All levels are welcome. Yoga of 12 Step Recovery (Y12SR) is a donation based, relapse-prevention program that blends the somatic approach of yoga with the cognitive approach of the 12 steps. Together they address the physical, mental, and spiritual dis-ease of addiction. This class is intended for anyone recovering from anything and all are welcome. This is a donation based class. Integrated Belly Dance
We will warmup with a combination of simple Pilates and Ballet exercises to improve our core strength, flexibility and coordination. Depending on the needs of the attendees, we will review belly dance technique and style before we transition into our belly dance flow. Our class focus is on wellness and community. Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Workshop
In this class we will cover extra fun elements that are involved with the art of Bellydance. We rotate though a variety of topics like floor work, veil work, zils (finger cymbals), swords and balancing, hip hop fusion, Turkish Roma (Gypsy) fusion, Indian Fusion and Temple Poses. Nia - Fusion Dance Fitness
Combining dance, martial arts, and healing arts (flexibility and mindfulness), Nia tones your body, mind and Spirit, bringing the Joy of movement. Nia is a holistic fitness practice based on the design of the body. Each workout brings mindfulness to your dance movement experience leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced. Nia is non-impact, practiced barefoot, and adaptable to individual needs and abilities. Dance experience not required, all levels welcome. (Ability to get down and up from the floor required).
